Fireball 2006 costume thread.
« on: July 29, 2006, 03:54:01 pm »
Righteo. First of all this thread is not to discuss the uber secret fireball camp.

This thread is to discuss the costume..ahem..."uniform" for fireball.
So far its been suggested a bit at DV that we go sort of as pirates. Well Ive got a pirate bandana lying around, I can get a stuffed parrot and tri-corner hat down my local joke shop, and Flecktarn sell Calico Jack patches.

So whos up for this years bout of nonsense

You mean to arrive in or to play in? I can't see the camouflage advantage of a scarlet macaw.

I've not really read the background to the big game, is there something piratey involved?

I mean to play in. Im pretty sure the background to Fireball has nothing to do with pirates whatsoever, but, well, it does now

Well, we'd certainly stand out, but I'm not sure that's really for the best in a woodland setting with people trying to shoot you.

I have decided, Im actually going in MARPAT for at least one day of this, and im even going to wear a camo hat. Thats right, FuzzY is actually going to wear something on his head :o Shock horror!

It sounds like my neon light approach to camo may not go down so well at fireball

a hat!

are you sure it shal encompas your head. i mean volume of hair and hubris would make finding a hat impossible due to size

you may be joking Headwreck, but your closer to the truth than you may think. When I used to be a cadet I never had a beret that fitted as they told me the MOD does not make headwear large enough to fit my head. This I honestly don't believe, but my beret/hat size is about a 70, and I cant find one to buy that size anywhere!
