Do i? opinions needed!
« on: November 25, 2010, 10:44:06 am »
right, im building up a g36, and need some opinions on internals....

so, do i:

1: buy a premade, jg g36 box, disaasemble it, fit a 280 ish fps spring, and reshim ect, so it runs smooth, costing me all of 40 quid....
2: go all out, and make a best of the best box, with modify, systema ect parts, making it essentailly bombproof, but costing wayyy more....

i will be running a lipo (never used one, so i kinda have to...) in either 11.1v, or 7.4v.... but i dont use full auto all that often, i tend to run midcaps, and pick my shots rather than spray and pray.........

BUT, i do like to waste some ammo, sometimes ;)

so, whats ya thoughts, ive used the jg gearboxes lots of times, and never had any major issues.........

you could get the jg box and upgrade that
The enemy is pretty much anyone who's going to get you killed, no matter what side he's on.....

jg shells arent the best =/

metal isnt of the highest quality, but the gears are quite good actually!

JG, Systema parts are wildly overated and very over priced. You could also try a CA gearbox shell and internals. But a JG with a 7.4 lipo should do you very well. If you go any higher voltage with a lipo you'll have to fit a mosfet or risk having to replace gear box parts quite often.

The gears won't but your electrical switch contacts certainly will, its to protect the electrical parts that you fit a mosfet

yea, ill fit metal bushes (more friction, but also alot tougher than bearings) into the gb at the same time....

on a slightly different note....

the mg36..... a long ass, massive magged version of the g36.. with a scoped carryhandle...

here lies my issue, i HATE the scoped carry handle, and thus do not want one, but id love the option to use the gun in multiroles (i have a c forgrip, a k foregrip and a standard g36/mg36 foregrip).

if i used a red dot, similar to the one on the scoped carryhandle, will dv let me use it as an mg36?

i really hate the scoped carryhandle, and thus dont wanna waste my money on one, but if they wont let me, i guess ill have to buy one =/

anyone from dv on here? as in now, i know firkit, russ, kalon ect are on here :L
