Upgrade your laptop and play ArmA, its worth it.

OFP 2 is a bastardisation of the series.

Was thoroughly displeased with OPFP:DR... The game felt stiff and just lacked flow. Jumpy reloading and other animations also gave the game a unfinished feel. The game could of been classed as a beta there are so many bugs.

The squad mechanics were awful resulting in them just strewn allover the map. Most of the guns had a cap gun sound effects, I was expecting a rather manly thump when shooting the Barrett but instead was greeted by a unfinished snap.

My hopes are up for this game but after OPFP:DR i'm skeptical...

yeah I agree. I have the correct processor speed and memory. it's either my graphics card or its simply because I am using a laptop?

I liked DR. what I didn't like was it's pop up book graphics, AI that walked infront of your M4, stupid vehicles, and shoddy enemy AI.

I suppose but IMO that was DRs most flawed feature. Co-op worked pretty well

Anyone got this yet? It's out on steam but i'm waiting to see if they have improved on the shortfalls of Dragon Rising. It would add to the replayability if they'd added an editor as well tbh, a bit like Arma's editor but without the extremely realistic gameplay. I mean i'm up for a game where you have to move slowly and act tactically like reality but getting shot through a bush by ultimate AI kinda sucks the fun outta the game XD

I got it the day it came out but on that very day I went away with Army Cadets and got back yesterday. I played it a bit yesterday and it is a bit slow starting to be honest. I this that being able to customise your class is a welcome addition. The graphics are very good. Cutscenes inbetween engagements CANNOT be skipped and this is somewhat annoying. So far however, I quite like it  :aeg:
