ACM CA870
« on: April 26, 2011, 09:36:50 am »
As the title says, i'm looking to get a fairly cheap, alternative side arm, only to be used in cqb situations etc, and just for a bit of fun. Been looking at gettin a little sawn shotgun for something different than my 1911.

Really all i want out of this thread is are they any good are they worth the money.

Plus do they do a holster for little sawn offs that can go on your leg or somewhere easily reached.

Any help much appreciated

Thanks Tony   :)

I'd love a short barrelled lever action piece like Tallahassee uses in Zombieland.  A snakeskin style thigh holster would set it off perfectly

Also, I've noticed a lot of folks carrying longer shotguns in back sleeves, like Hicks does in Aliens.

I had a Maruzen 870 a few years back, although it was the full stock version.  Was a nifty little piece, not especially powerful but handy for if your AEG conks out and you need a backup.

do the maruzen ones need to be downgraded or they inder 350 fps, if so i'm getting one of those bad boys, exactly the same full metal etc

My Maruzen didn't need downgrading, came in at about 300fps if memory serves.  Whether this would be the same for an ACM clone I'm really not sure.

Used it for nearly a full day at Spectre Urban once when my AEG died and my pistol didn't work because it was so cold.  Although unlike TM shotguns that fire 3 BBs with one pump, these only fire one, so there's no rate of fire to speak of, however they're a lot more reliable than GBBs that can gas out or jam at a critical moment.

i would go for the acm clone and save a bit of cash and if u ring airsoft world before ordering and tell them that it needs to be downgraded to 330 fps they would probably do it for a little bit extra

acm are over 350, but zeroin do the maurzen for 100, were as the acm is 75, for the sake of not screwing te gun up i prob pay the extra money,

might give them a buzz now actually, i don't trust myself taking something apart, i'm a bit heavy handed, and tend to brake anything like that i've ever attempted  :laughsoutloud:

spoke to them on airsoft world, due to the set up of the gun (being pump action) th downgrade service would be between 25 and 30 quid dude.

Would work out the same after you factor in the downgrade costs, may as well get the Maruzen.

My Maruzen came with a red dot sight too, although I never bothered to fit it, it went on a different gun.
