So, who actually wants the horrid media box? Is it really a games console not made for games?

More importantly, will this one have sufficient cooling compared to the last one?

I see what games it has, and how the "always on" and used fee turn out.

Always was a console mercenary, so might get the ps4 if seems the better deal

Thank god they got rid of the complete game lock idea and you can actually sell and buy used games now. Having to still pay a fee to play on someone else's console/account though is a EDIT: terrible move.

Where are you getting that idea from?
That's marketing suicide.

The idea behind this is an all in one console. TBH it's already very TV biased with the ability to connect to Sky, Netflix, Lovefilm etc. No no news here at all.
Also the remote isn't new either

I believe they have said there is no backwards compatibility, so yes, marketing suicide.

They've said no backwards compatibility, but tbh that's not a concern of mine. Admittedly, there's nothing much 'new' about it. The media side is covered, and seems to be the only game to look out for upon its release will be Forza 5. If you like that kind of thing.

Though what I'm more interested in is Destiny.

Finally, I can watch television on my TV! It's just been sitting there for years, unable to function. But no more!

Bummer!

But TBH, I think once we all see the news games and the graphics, I doubt we'll all be in a rush to want to go back.

.....I hope :)

Im an xbox man through and through, and i find the ps controllers are way too small and give me hand cramps if playing it for any length of time but i will either get a ps4 as a next gen console or simply not bother at all, microsoft have really hey nonny nonnied, firmly up on this one and as a result i shall not be buying one. Simples.

Well, its overly complicated and will need a constant internet connection every 24 hours on a primary console and 1 hour on a secondary, plus the whole game sharing issue is horrific. No longer interested at all, as I hardly play games on my 360 as it is.

Better start moving the PC into the flat and playing that instead...
