Dragon Valley Sennybrigde Feedback
« on: July 11, 2015, 07:11:53 pm »
Well I start off the thread.

I really enjoyed it! I thought it was a great day. Only thing i say that I think M249 can not use full auto in buildings, ie running in..can shoot out but not going in..maybe same as snipers.

Also I like to see a day Milsim game...in a place like SENTA It would be amazing!

the games was good..I liked the rolling games..only moan was that i think objectives was not clear to half the team, so the players in the field will have no clue on whats going on but the ones at the respawn do..

The domination concept was good but there needs to be a better thought on how to keep the blue/red building. That card just did no justice when when the wind was blowing.

Overall I loved and Hope theres more to come...

A Big Thank you Jeff and Olly to setting it up and thanks to all the other marshals for helping out..

Big thanks to everyone , I really enjoyed the day  :bravo: . It was nice to see it lot of old face as well as some new ones also to the guy on the red team who continuously run everywhere bet you slept last night  fella :laughsoutloud: .  Jeff only one thing I have to say is ,I didn't see you play would of been nice , but  I think you was having to much fun throwing those thunderflashes around  :P . There was one or two teething problems like people using the woods but these were sorted out straight away and never spoilt the game , so it's a big thumb's for me and I'm hoping we can have a DV away day again maybe this year .

An Apache helicopter has machine guns AND missiles. It is an unbelievably impressive complement of weaponry. An absolute death machine.

Enjoyed the day, loved the site, hated the sweeping lol

first time there so we all knew there would be teething issues, so thanks to Jeff and the guys for trying their best.

Second the op`s comments regarding objectives, I was stuck in the forward lying building for most of the day when some said we need to get the bear, I was like WTF " what Bear "  :laughsoutloud:

The nature of the village lends itself to a more objective based, shorter games. I think the infinite regen was the main culprit, causing the game to bog down once certain buildings were taken.

roll on the next one

oh and nice pics Russ

on a personal note i think the treatment of the vip"s ( teddy bears ) was total contradictory to the Geneva accord and am thinking of launching
at least several airsoft war crime investigations on the grounds of hostage health care

Our preference would have been to run our usual shorter games, our dislike of regen is well known. We decided that we wanted to be able to offer maximum playing time at Sennybridge, so decided that two big regen games were the way to go.

I have mixed feelings about the day.

The site itself is great and has a good amount of potential but the gameplay just didnt suit it well.
First half of the day was damned good fun but started to become very samey towards the end due to the consistent stalemates at various parts of the site. Second half was more of the same and IMO became boring quick.

Would of much preferred typical DV style shorter games, particularly a 3 base game style (attackers respawn but defenders dont) in the bigger multi story buildings I thought would of been brilliant fun.
As it was I didnt really see much of the inside of the buildings as there was very little reason to go in them.

The side objectives were not communicated well, only a handful of people knew what was going on when we started seeing stuffed bears being carried about.

Would quite like to return to the site in the future though, was an interesting and fresh experience.

Dont think I've ever swept up so much in my life either. :P

Yeah, the sweeping is the downside of using Sennybridge, it has to be spot on and it's thoroughly inspected.

When we go back we'll take something closer to the usual DV experience, consider this one a toe in the water.
