The Gearbox / JG G36C - Anyone handy with repairs?
« on: April 21, 2011, 11:20:13 am »
I've got a JG G36C, which is pretty much mint condition apart from the ever so small issue of it not actually firing. When the trigger is pulled there's no response at all, its like there isn't even a battery connected. Have tried different batteries and checked the fuse with no luck.

Gun repairs aren't exactly my forte, so I was wondering if anyone at DV would be prepared to take a look at it/give fixing it a go?

I would of course hand over some cash for it being done.

I'm aware that Jeff and some of the marshals do look at guns when they can on the day (god bless you guys), but would rather spare them the pestering as I'm sure they have more important things to be doing and this isn't my only gun.

Cheers!

The Gearbox / Well MP7
« on: July 23, 2010, 02:15:57 pm »
I've been thinking about an MP7 for a while, and am looking for it to replace my pistol/act as a secondary weapon. Looking at the options the Well MP7 seems about right (£120). I cant justify forking out over £200 for a TM version considering how little its going to be used.

So my question is, does anyone have any first hand experience with the Well version, what are your thoughts, or do you have any other recommendations?

Dragon Valley / April 11th Thoughts
« on: April 11, 2010, 06:41:06 pm »
Just wanted to give my thanks to Jeff, Olly and all the marshals for today, both me and the group of mates I was with had a great time, particularly enjoyed the regen game and it made a nice change to have 3 teams, even if it was a bit complicated to organise. Can’t wait till next time! :)

Dragon Valley / Support Weapon Question
« on: August 28, 2008, 10:45:01 pm »
Hi there guys, just a quick question, currently I have a G36K, and wasn't allowed to use my 1000 round drum mag ( :( ) at TCI because that would make it a support weapon (which is fair enough in retrospect, didn't cross my mind at the time of planning), and since I didn't have a solid stock or bipod I wasn't allowed to use it, which again is fair enough.

What I would like to know is that if I use a bipod with it, can I use it as an MG36 support weapon with the current G36 stock as a lot of the pictures of the MG36 I've seen haven't got a solid stock?

Many thanks, and again a great job on the weekender :).

Dragon Valley / UKARA Licence
« on: May 11, 2008, 07:55:22 pm »
Hi there, I?ve booked my place for the 25th, which will qualify me for the UKARA licence. I?ve read what I need to bring from the membership page; however, I see I need to bring ?An item of ID showing your name and address? such as a utility bill.
Being a student, without a contract phone, and living at home, I really don?t have much that would cover this, other than a bank statement, which I am a little hesitant about using.

Would it be acceptable if I blocked out my account details etc from the page, as I?m not exactly happy about sending off a piece of paper with my name, address, and bank details on. Or has anyone got any recommendations that I haven?t thought about?

Or will any letter to me at that address be accepted?

Many Thanks in advance.

Dan.

Hi there, i have a friend booked to come on the 13th April game, who has resurved a rental gun, i seem to remember seeing a post on the forums somwhere saying that people no longer need to send the deposit in the post, they just pay on the day. Is this right, or is my mind playing tricks on me?

Many thanks.

Dragon Valley / Newbies hoping to come on the 17th
« on: January 25, 2008, 11:07:45 pm »
Hi there, me and my friend are planning to come to our first airsoft skirmish on the 17th of feb.

We both have our own guns, i have a JG M4 S-system, and JG MP5 A4, and he has a CYMA AK47 "CM028".

Im pretty much sorted in the fact that if my M4 fails the chrono (apparently around 370 out of the box, so we shal see), i can use my mp5 instead.
However my friends AK is listed at around 360 fps. Now we would hate to have to travel to DV only to find that he couldnt play. In his own words "Knowing my luck i'd get 351fps."
I know that DV have the option for people to use rental guns, but there is only a short supply of them.
What would be the option if it did fail the chrono? If we resurved a retail gun and didnt need it, would we still have to pay?

Many thanks.
Dan.
