That said, you can get good boots cheap but they might not sit well with your dislike of used kit. Surplus shops are your friend. If you do go for new boots they are of course useful for all sorts, not just airsoft. I live in mine.

General Discussion / Re: What is the best camo for DV?

It really depends where on the site you are. If you are fighting around buildings then the ideal camo would be different to when you are sneaking around in the ferns..

As a curveball, I've found Alpenflage to be really good in the autumn, matches the colours found on-site at that time of year  well.

Hiya Mike, welcome back! Forums are a bit quiet these days so I've only just seen this. Can you book in via the website for this one please, I'll sort  your password when I'm at my PC.

On points it ended up a draw, 10 points each. In theme terms, NATO won as they stole and detonated the nuke inside North Korea.

Few new faces on the marshal rota, and we have rather more flexible boundaries, otherwise much as always.

I went looking for twisties and took the scenic route up from Ross through Ledbury, Malvern, Worcester etc. More interesting than sitting on the M5

Link was busted Chris, had a stray '.' on the end, edited to fix the link.

I've linked these from the Dates page on the website and shared them on the DV Facebook page.

Everyone else is so much quicker at posting their photos than me. Bryn had his online by the time I was passing Worcester on the way home!

Ah, the good old days, it was a simpler time with far more injuries... ;)

Good to hear from you Magaz, you'll have to make that 5 hour trek down over the summer, make a weekend of it.

Good stuff, always nice to see players coming back after some time away. You won't recognise the place :)

Bolle and ESS both make goggles that are designed to be worn over glasses, the trouble is that whilst the goggles don't tend to steam up too much the glasses underneath do. ESS or Guarder glasses with prescription inserts are the way to go.

We're waiting for confirmation of the dates we've requested now. What we are aiming for is 1st May then every third Sunday after that.

I believe the marshal in question asked you to speak to me if you weren't happy. Were you not able to find me as we were wrapping up for the day?

Yep, that's the plan going forward. We used to require a deposit for all bookings, but this was way back when people needed to post cheques (we've been doing this for far too long!). A £5 deposit per rental may discourage people from not showing up, mind you it's so easy for buyers to claw payments back through Paypal it would probably prove to me a pointless exercise. We like to keep the booking process simple, but we can't live with the number of no-shows we have been seeing lately.

Perhaps introduce a deposit for rental players, maybe it is too easy for people to book with no real commitment or downside to not turning up. A non refundable fiver or tenner through paypal might sort the wheat from the chaff.

Yeah, sorry about that, you weren't the only ones which is why this really pisses us off. It's not the fact that this cost us over £1100 really, it's the fact that people who would have turned up and had a good day are potentially having to go somewhere else because some asshat couldn't be arsed to let go of their cock and get out of bed.
