Yeah ive just ordered an ASG urban sniper. I thinks its a copy of the MB06A. says it fires 443 fps on the ASG website but doesn't specify anything on JD airsoft where i bought it from.

In the case of downgrading a bolt action sniper rifle would i need to buy a specific sniper spring or can i just buy a normal aeg spring?? In either case what spring variant should i look for?? woul m100 be too powerful in this case??

Is there a tolerance within chronographs?? The bloke i spoke to at JD airsoft said there could be up to a 10% tolerance on them, which seems strange as I thought that defies the point of the chrono.
And what difference would it make to chronoing it indoors??

Hey guys, yeah that is what i was hoping someone would say. Not sure when i'm coming this year yet, should be march but i'll sort it out nearer the time. i've figured how to disassemble the rifle. is it easy to chop the spring?? if it is how much normally is removed??

The Gearbox / 1 Joule Spring Firing >350 fps
« on: February 01, 2012, 05:19:44 pm »
I've recently purchased an ASG Steyr Aug A2 from JD Airsoft. On the items description on their website and ASG website they both say that it has a 1 joule spring inside it. I have chronoed it for the first time yesterday with a new UFC Pro chrono and was averaging 350-360 fps. . i dont particularly want to be buying replacement parts if i dont have to but i have contacted the seller and they told me it does happen. Does anyone have any advice for me as i am baffled as to how a spring that is described as 0.9-1.0 joule is producing 1.16-1.20J.

Ehat is DV position on nozzle blockers for bolt action rifles? I know the site rules mention about velocity reducers on an AEG but does the same apply to single shot rifles??

Didn't actualy get any kills so bit miffed. Liked the bands, think they worked well. As it was our second time to DV still learning the site and getting used to the game modes. Big change of the games from july but enjoyed it none the less.
Highlight for me was actually finally deciding what weapon i'm gonna buy after having a butchers at your phantom AUG. Glad you let me have a look at it
