I have mixed feelings about the day.

The site itself is great and has a good amount of potential but the gameplay just didnt suit it well.
First half of the day was damned good fun but started to become very samey towards the end due to the consistent stalemates at various parts of the site. Second half was more of the same and IMO became boring quick.

Would of much preferred typical DV style shorter games, particularly a 3 base game style (attackers respawn but defenders dont) in the bigger multi story buildings I thought would of been brilliant fun.
As it was I didnt really see much of the inside of the buildings as there was very little reason to go in them.

The side objectives were not communicated well, only a handful of people knew what was going on when we started seeing stuffed bears being carried about.

Would quite like to return to the site in the future though, was an interesting and fresh experience.

Dont think I've ever swept up so much in my life either. :P

Im waiting for final release.
Hearing a lot of complaints from players that it is still very shallow and not having much content.

Also played a lot of Frontier Elite II back on my A1200 back in the day.

Marshaling was fine, no complaints there.

The players attitudes were, interesting.
I didnt witness many problems, quite a bit of cheat calling from the Reds was most apparent.
Once incident which did make me laugh was my other half being referred to as "the man in the black shirt" when being cheat called. If you cant identify her as a woman then you sure as hell cant say you hit her.

Did hear some moaning from the geardo's on the red team, again mostly blues being referred to as cheats, calling the 600 round limit stupid ("thats only 2 mags!" - an actual quote) and general moaning about the site.

Was quite the downer coming from a 5+ month break from airsoft to come back to frankly such lack of sportsmanship from other players.

Hells yea, won the bet and Twom owes me some love. :P
Although I found the key to staying off the board is to play less aggressively, which is a bit depressing if I'm honest.

Anyways had a great day and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
However, in the next briefing can it be further emphasized that when you are hit put your hand up and go IN the safe zone?
I had a number of incidents where players were walking around in a 'normal' stance and getting pissy when you shot at them, plus many players hanging around the front of the SZ right in the middle of a firefight. It was getting pretty frustrating.

What was the delays at the beginning of the day?
From being quite late just getting us through the gate and taking quite some time to get the briefing going, it was getting a bit silly.

To somewhat echo the above, the hit taking today was utterly diabolical on both sides it seems.
The pistol game really summed up the day really, the hit taking from the AEG players (nearly all rentals) was near non existent.

Is this really the standard for new players coming into the game nowadays?

Other than the above, I rather enjoyed the day.
Got to use my new toy and plenty of kills achieved, the usual attack/defend games at the beginning were a lot of fun as always.  :)

I want to see a tactical pantomime horse this year

I think Backlash and I considered this a couple of years back, seemed a bit impractical though.
