currently modding a 4.3 desert warrior to fit an RMR, so far i have the custom mount made here in work, i need the cut into the slide and attach it and i am good to go. once i am happy with the mods to the plastic slide i will move over to a metal slide i just need to change out the BBU for something lighter to help it cycle properly.

What Jeff said ^

there are various SA80/L85's out there made by G&G and ICS not to mention the Gas WE. all fall within your budget.  altho the Bulpup design is very handy in both CQB and open areas due to the benefit of a full length barrel in a short gun.

although if you are going gas the L85 is an ambidextrous nightmare.

i recommend going Electric simply because it will work in all weather where as gas is temperature dependant and mags are expensive along with the gas and the low capacity of ammo each mag carries.

that's fair enough but we need to know a little more before we start throwing out suggestions.

how tall are you
what style of play are you using?
gas/electric or Spring powered?
do you have any pictures of guns you like the look of?
are you right handed or left handed?

the more info we have the better we can advise you on what to buy

for example you could be 5'2 and carry around an M14 or a G3 which is almost as big and you play Close Quarter Battles (CQB) which these guns aren't suited for

or you could be 6'4 with frying pans for hands and carry around a P90 or a MP5 and like to play more like a marksman,

all we know is you have a budget of £400 which lands you in the ball park of some 100's of choices so we kinda need to narrow it down a little.

but you can't really go wrong with an M4 as they are so highly customizable and come in all shapes and sizes.

are you a lefty or a righty? got a paticular platform in mind AK/AR/FN/HK?

do you want a short or long barrel? are you going to base you're loadout on a paticular military outfit  such as Delta/SEAL/SAS/Marines and so on.....

many factors come into buying a gun

for me my first gun was the TM M14, why? i loved the M14 from watching films and playing games and not to mention it has some of the best range and accuracy on the market and i was building a BHD loadout based around the M14 DMR platform

so you need to give us a little more info.  :bravo:

there was a particular group of new players who i observed most of the day and were very vocal and hurled abuse at other players for "cheating" or they would rant that they had been shot when returning to the SZ but still maintaining an offensive stance which is their own fault as they couldnt be bothered to keep their hands up . i told them off a few times for shouting abuse at players and just told them to take their number when they see them and report to a marshal so that we could deal with it.

we dealt with a number of players new and regular not taking hits, there were cries all over the site about "TAKE YOU'RE HIT" and so on, we do try and nip these in the bud as quickly as possible to prevent the wave of cheating from spreading . its as simple as this, even if you THINK youve been hit you probably were and friendly fire DOES count. and you are not Mace Windu and deflect every incoming shot with you're gun and even if it hits your "ballistic" helmet you are still dead. but alot of it as mentioned is the fact that some people overestimate their range and there cant be a marshal for every player its a game that relies on honesty, if you can't be honest there is another alternative which i will not utter here.  cough cough delux fetish

personally TM have the best systems out there for reliablity Metal is good dont get me wrong but plastic performs flawlessly in most conditions, i use metal sides and frames come the summer and then swap them over winter time where it gets below 10 degrees

The Gearbox / Re: Gas or Spring Sniper
« on: February 13, 2014, 12:08:44 pm »
yeah a springer is a fairly care free weapon to have gas has lots of valves and moving parts that require lubrication and cleaning to prevent any malfunctions. so you are better off with a spring loaded sniper

I'm sure they'll do them at some point in Fagpuls standard spectrum of colours. As it is, black is the colour I'd choose anyway to put on Krieger.

i have no issue with black but when it comes to me putting the metal slide and frame on i have either silver or black now i want it FDE so i may have to find someone who can duracoat it or find a good FDE paint

its a shame they don't come in FDE or any other color that would look nice with a black slide and frame.
