kelly? quiet? only coz he didnt want you to shout at him Jeff.

I did work on Ellis` 14, the only niggle i found with it was that sometimes you could put the mag in like a retard and vent the gas first shot. This Jeff had that first hand when he had a go on ellis`.

SA80 like Chris says has its own niggles mainly being that the guide rods eat the bolt carrier, but thats a sorta simple fix if WE havent sorted that out. Also no major mag fault like the m14 as its using the new Gen2 M4 mags

The Umarex versions are exactly the same as the VFC just in a different box. The MP5 has issues with the bolt being too weak to handle the abuse it gets in a game, also the fact people dont charge it correctly when loading the gun. the M4 varients look nice but had low quality internals as VFC pride them selves on external accuracy, their customer services have slipped over the last  few years too.

To be fair I also had a Gen 1 (closed bolt) WE Scar and it was utterly awful.
However, the latest Gen 3's which cougar, starscream and even my old man have appear to be solid.

So far the only fault i have had with the scar was the nozzle snapping in some stupid cold weather in the basement at the court house in Bristol, I was last man standing and fireing a mag off on single in no time at all, but finally the cold got to the nozzle and it snapped from freezing.

The stocks are now sofar (knock on wood) solid, the Gen1 that i had a tinker with then reppy had it was ok considering but its got nothing on the newer Gen3 with its enhanced buffer and bolt set
