As an aside, we found a building you'd enjoy while we were out working out the boundaries for the weekender Monkfish; it was even more deeply covered in a uniform layer of sheep shit than the shit pit used to be. I've never seen so much shit in one place must have taken decades to build up.
I'm... overjoyed. :D

Just as a heads up, the Met Office are predicting quantities snow of measured in shitloads over the weekend, mostly on Saturday evening.

It'd probably be an idea to phone ahead if it does snow to be sure the site will be open and to ensure you wrap up warm!

Any more pictures? I'm sure a few others were snapping away.  :D

Aparently he is indeed the "only gay in the office" and rather open about it, sadly I didnt take the call myself but for some reason he took offence to it!
Openly gay bloke takes offence to a light hearted joke about being openly gay and the only one in the office?

I bet he cries when he watches lol (by which I mean that nothing is funny, and I tried to beat the swear filter and failed!) Dalmatians.

I find it offensive that people have such thin skin and these faggots actually seem to be steering society on a path towards a dystopia where all comedy is banned in case it offends anyone at all.

It's a joke, and a light hearted one at that, and should be treated as such. People seem to be offended by the slightest off the cuff remark these days. And if they're not offended themselves, they're offended on someone else's behalf.

What's that? Multicamp? Figures.

Nice pics there Russ. :bravo:

Everything with Vader in is actually amazing, the wind was just right to make his cape blow epicly at all the right moments!

My cape's not blowing in the wind in the four photos I'm in.

That's awesome!

"How tall are you Private?"

"Sir! Five foot nine, Sir!"

"Five foot nine?! I didn't know they stacked shit that high!"

Had a great day except being sat in the kill house for 20 minutes dressed as a monkey (not the bear off bo Selecta) because are team were told I had to be kept safe not get to the Shit house.
Conversely, our team decided it would be best for me to hole up in the Shit house and not risk taking a shot out in the field. So I holed up with probably 1/3rd of the team stopping back to defend me and stop you getting in. The rest went out hunting. I waited. And waited. And waited. Eventually, we decided to make a move as some Reds were coming across the open field to the north so we made a rapid move to the Fishing Village. Then the game ended. Boo.

I've just got home aching and tired. It's been a fantastic day, if a little cold, with some great games and some funny moments. Hearing "There's Darth Vader!" and "Vader's making a run for it" never tired. Funniest moment though was another Blue player saying "Marshal, am I hitting that teddy bear over there?" .

Congrats to those that won the raffle and the shiny new GBBs. I wasn't jealous at all. Oh no. Not in the slightest :P. Still, I was chuffed to have won best fancy dress, the work converting the mask to be Airsoft safe paid off. Ears are still ringing from several shots to the helmet though.  :giggedy:

I'd also like to take the opportunity to thank Jeff and the other marshals for running a superb site (and, of course, Nikki for the scrumptious food she puts on each game day, especially the buffet today) and wish them all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I look forward to seeing you all in 2012 for another great year at Dragon Valley. :bravo:

I take weather forecasts for any military site with a ruddy great slathering of salt. I don't know how they do it, unless there's some sort of secret weather controlling installation under every site, but they always seem to plonk them in a place that completely ignores the rules of weather and is usually totally different to everything surrounding it.

I've played at DV 7-8 times now, maybe more, over the last year and I've seen it rain once. Even then it was a half-arsed effort that was on and off all day.

Still, -1 will be interesting in little more than a 1-piece lycra suit with a cape. :x
